Jancey's Journey

Hey all!  My name is Jancey Saunders Hall an I'm currently a junior at Kansas State University majoring in Agriculture Economics with a minor in Animal Science and Industry.  What do I want to do with that?  I'm not really sure, that's why I chose it because it involves my two of my loves in life agriculture and K-State.  The most common question I get is where did my mom find my name, well my first name is a random name that my mom heard a couple times and she liked it plus my dad was happy she no longer wanted to name me Rian (me too)  I have yet to meet another Jancey but will on my 21st birthday except she spells it differently!  My middle name is my Grandma's maiden name which I'm very proud of since my Granma is a very determined, amazing, and loving women.

K-State is one of my life passions because simply put it's in my blood.  My mom went there, my dad went there, my aunt went there, my grandpa went there, my great grandpa went there and I believe my great great grandpa went there. plus loads more family that I can't even begin to mention.  My grandparents and great grandma have lived in Manhattan for as long as I remeber and every big family gathering that has ever happened has been there.  It's basically a second home for me.  I've become more family orientated over the past few years and miss them like crazy when they are not around.
I started this blog as Dr. Pepper Depravation because of a summer expieriment of trying to see if I could live a normal life without Dr. Pepper.  It sounds crazy, but I drank so much Dr. Pepper it was literally what was running through my blood.  without it I would be less productive, tired, moody, irritated, and less focused.  With it I was happy, productive and didn't have so much ADD.  I sometimes would have 3 Route 44's a day, easy ice.  not good.  Other than consuming Dr. Pepper, I love to sing (not good), run, read, go on adventures, write letters, tell corny jokes, take pictures, scrapbook, have random dance parties, wear unmatching socks, and find the simple pleasures in life.

I'm highly involved in different organizations because involvement and dedicated to an organization teach some of the greatest life lessons.  Currently, I live in Alpha of Clovia, the 4-H girls scholarship, cooperative living house that is like a sorority, where I am an officer, Ag Ambassadors where I organize prospective visits for future College of Ag Students, and Ag Council where I serve as the Honor Code Representative for the Universtity where I am a student voice in making sure the honor code is upheld.

I like being busy, having fun, laughing, spreading smiles and believe that if you are bored, you are not taking all the oppurtunities life has to offer.

Enjoy :)
