Clovia 2---10
Yes I still have my "A-List" which is basically composed of 9 people that I interact with the most and that I text my random HUGE life adventures, like the day a deer ran into me or the day a squriell let me pet it, or if I need advice on weather or not to buy something like a rubber duck trash can (yes I have a 7 year olds heart). And I know normal people would not like to be bothered with such things.
However every time someone asks to get my jokes because their sad that they don't get them or if I simply think they would really enjoy them or they need to smile more I add them to a list.
Once again, Why in the world do I do this?
Here's why:
When I informed my joke lists that they could get off the list if they wanted:
helllllll no...these jokes make my day
please don't...they make me laugh when I want to cry from studying sooo much
NOOOOO! don't stop! Your jokes make my day :)
No I love getting them always brighten my day :)
haha. stop kidding. they make class entertaining. if you stop, i die
Some other comments I've recieved from sending my jokes:
Ha. Thank you. Perfectly timed. I needed a joke
These are so much fun I love them! they brighten my day!
What I love the most is that I have a diverse group of friends that recieve these jokes: girls & guys, ag people, athletes, nerds and that they tend to brighten everyones day. even if I do send out a corny joke about ag, the non ag people love it to... etc
During finals week last spring I sent a joke everyday to help myself and my friends get through them then my friend from KU (gag) special requested that I keep sending them for her because her finals week was the next week and that would be the best thing to help her do well if she knew she'd get jokes.
A few weeks ago I sent out a joke and was considering that be my last joke I sent out ever.... then I recieved this text back from a guy I haven't seen in person since my at least senior year of high school and I don't think I've talked to except maybe through a facebook post or two since then.
LOL that is hilarious. Everytime I see a text from Jancey I start smiling/laughing, hahahaha!
I had greatly reduced the number of jokes I sent out and was seriously considering stopping it and after recieving that texts I thought to myself why? Why when something takes me 5 minutes to do and 81 people either grin or grimace and laugh at how stupid or funny it is would I stop spreading those smiles? I've realized that making other people smile, makes me smile, but there is something I like more than making others smile. That same friend also sent me this text:
LOL at that and the one last nigh. I tell these to my friends when u send them! hahahaha
Not only do I have the power to make 81 people smile, I have the power to enable 81 people to pass on that smile and share the joke with others. At this point in my life I believe this is my purpose. No it's not a big deal or life changing, but theres not enough people in the world striving to make others smiles so why shouldn't I try to not only make others smile but give them the wonderful gift of making others smile as well.
So let me know if your not one of the 81 people on my joke lists and I will be more than happy to add you, but be warned: there at random times (not after midnight if I realize it's after midnight and usually not before 7 am) and when it comes to difficult weeks at K-State like finals week, you get more jokes, on the first day of school at K-State you might get a school joke. Also, all jokes are PG :)
Also, if added I encourage you to pass the jokes on that I send you and make others smile. and if you read a joke that I didn't send you pass it back to me, you'll recieve it again, but so will 80 people.
Keep it corny! Pass the smiles!
Jancey
